Every single day I watch the sunrise,
hear the birds sing not a single note for me.
It takes a special kind of patience
for all the time I spend alone
pondering upon the sun.

I think about all the "can it be's," possibilities,
and different outcomes;
variations of "how come's."

It takes special concentration
to remain below it all,
above it all.

And I continue to rewind,
reminisce on what I find,
and the sun, it smiles at me
so I smile back.

All the do's and don'ts lie on a scale,
the tipping point:
an emotional betrayal.

It takes special determination
to decide a right or wrong
when the choice comes along.

I think about all the butterflies, and lullabies
the fluttering performs.
A symphony is born.

It takes a special kind of force
to erase this paradise.

And I continue to rewind,
reminisce on what I find,
